IPL bid - A complete List of Auction

Team: Mumbai

The Mumbai franchise, which has Sachin Tendulkar as the 'icon player' and is owned by Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries Limited, paid $975,000 for Sri Lankan Sanath Jayasuriya and $850,000 for India spinner Harbhajan Singh. The other players bought by the team include South African all-rounder Shaun Pollock, India's batsman Robin Uthappa and Sri Lankan bowlers Lasith Malinga, and Dilhara Fernando.

From the reserve pool, South African batsman Loots Bosman went to Mumbai for $175,000 at his base price.

From the reserve pool, West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul was bought by Team Bangalore for $200,000.

From the reserve pool, West Indies batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan was bought for $225,000, while Aussie batsman Simon Katich was bought for $200,000.

The total spending on players by Team Mohali has been $4.62 million. With each franchise allowing a cap of $5 million, Team Mohali have fallen just a wee short of the target.

With India's ODI captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni topping the bidding with a whopping $1.5 million, Team Chennai made news in the IPL players' auction by snapping Dhoni in the first round of the sale. Owned by India Cements, the team -known as Super Kings, bought Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan, New Zealand all-rounder Jacob Oram and former Kiwis skipper Stephen Fleming, wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel, all-rounders Joginder Sharma from India and South African Albie Morkel, batsman Suresh Raina and South African bowler Makhaya Ntini.

From the reserve pool, Australia's Michael Hussey was bought by Team Chennai for $350,000. Hussey was bought for $100,000 more from his base price.

Amongst all the eight IPL teams, the total spending on players of $5.865 million by Team Hyderabad is the maximum.
